Hi,
I had this running on 5.1.1 Beta 1 and when I attempted to update to 5.1.2 I missed the Beta 1 to Beta 2 step and stuffed the install up.
I thought I would just start from scratch, Renamed the /pos dir to a backup, create a new database, upload the full 5.1.2 files and go from there.
However, I cannot even execute the install.php file. I just get a 500 error and the error.log shows the following.
EDIT: Nevermind, I created the templates_c directory and its all good. I remember now that i had to do this with the first install. Why doesn't the install package create this directory?
[03-Jul-2011 21:53:46] PHP Fatal error: Smarty error: the $compile_dir '/home/xxxxx/public_html/pos/cache/templates_c' does not exist, or is not a directory. in /home/xxxxx/public_html/pos/includes/Smarty/Smarty.class.php on line 1088
I set and checked the permissions on the cache and template directories. Any ideas?
Thanks
Harry

What are the requirements to update from 5.1.2 to 5.1.3, when I try i get crazy hieroglyphics in the top of the page and nothing works. When I navigate to Upgrade.php there isn't an option to upgrade from 5.1.2 to 5.1.3.
I have to roll back to 5.1.2.

I can't seem to upgrade. I had the same issues before but didn't make a back up and just re-installed the latest full version installer.
This time i made a backup (on v 5.1.2) with the intention of moving to 5.1.5 but as soon as start the process by copying the 5.1.3 upgrade things seem to break.
Is that minor upgrade just suppose to "work" transparently with no interaction apart from just overwriting the files?

Thanks for your reply FG, it appears that this ftp client that I am using wasn't configured properly, so when I was uploading it was set to auto skip certain files.
Damn, simple things...

What would cause half of the towers to suddenly have no fuel at all and then on the next update the postracker reflecting the normal fuel levels again.
It seems to only have happened since i added another 5 towers. My postracker now has 12 towers in it, is it an issue of timeout waiting for the api to respond?
